Information on our New & Used Trailer Sales Process

Frequently Asked Questions about Buying a Trailer at Pro-Line Trailers

The FAQ covers the answers to the vast majority of questions we receive each day. Chances are, your question will be answered by reading these Frequently Asked Questions. If you have a question that is not listed here, please do not hesitate to contact us. Our dedicated sales staff, service technicians, and trailer specialists are here to guide you through the order process and answer your questions!

1. How do I order a trailer, trailer part, or trailer accessory?

The best way to order is to use our online parts store, contact us online or call directly at (540) 334-4182.

If you’re in the Virginia area, visit our Trailer Parts & Accessories store at our headquarters: 205 New Plant Rd, Rocky Mount, VA 24151.

2. Is financing available?

Yes! For well-qualified buyers, any of our trailers can be financed for lower than you may think. Our $0 down financing applies to in-stock and advertised trailers. Custom ordered trailers may require a deposit (all deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise specified).

Learn more about our Trailer Financing. Or, to see what you qualify for and how low your payments can be, please fill out a Credit Application.

3. What information and paperwork do I need to complete my order?

The two main pieces of paperwork included in the buying process are the Buyers Order and Certificate of Origin (CO). The CO is an official document that precedes the title.

When you place your trailer order, the salesperson will need to know your name, address, and telephone number for registration purposes. It is important this information is correct, as it is transferred to your Buyers Order and CO.

After final payment is received, we mail your Buyers Order and CO paperwork to the address you provide (To avoid having to wait for cashier’s check processing, pay with cash or a wire transfer – your paperwork will be mailed immediately.). Paperwork is mailed via the United States Postal Service. UPS Overnight delivery is available for $40.

4. Where can I find the Trailer AD number?

The Trailer AD # can be found on the trailer product page, above the photos and features sections.

5. Why are there two different prices and locations listed?

If a trailer lists two different locations and prices, it indicates where the trailer may be picked up and what the pricing is for that location.

If there are not locations and prices listed, as shown in the example below, this indicates that the trailer is only available at our Rocky Mount, VA headquarters.

Our goal is to make your trailer buying experience as smooth and seamless as possible. Please contact us for further detail on obtaining your new trailer.

6. Where will I pick-up my trailer after purchase?

Trailers are available for pick-up at our main retail location in Rocky Mount, VA, but usually at a little higher price than the units sold straight from our manufacturing facilities, because of the cost of freight from the factory to the store.

We often have advertised Trailer Specials that are to be picked up or delivered from the factory only at the price as advertised. Call our store to see if there is a pickup location closer to you – you may be able to save some money!

7. What additional pick-up information do I need to know?

Our staff is great at working on trailers and we go through great lengths to make sure the electrical system on your trailer is in proper working condition prior to pick-up. We ask that you take the time to make sure that the electrical system (i.e. 4-way or 7-way plug) on your tow vehicle is in proper working condition.

With that said, our Rocky Mount, VA headquarters has an on-site Trailer Service & Repair Shop. We install any trailer or truck accessories you may need, perform customizations and modifications, along with routine maintenance and VA state inspections.

8. I’m unable to pick-up the trailer I ordered. Can I get my trailer delivered?

Yes, trailer delivery is available if needed. Sometimes our customers’ schedule does not allow for the time it takes to pick a trailer up. Delivery is available at a per mile rate (does not include tolls).

9. How do I register my trailer?

Generally, registering a trailer is the same as registering a car. However, it varies from state to state, so please check with your local DMV for exact details in your state.

10. Can I choose a different color for my trailer?

Some of our Enclosed Trailers do come in optional colors if special ordered. We do keep some of the most popular trailers in colors other than white, but you may have to order yours to get that color to match your new motorcycle or vehicle.

View our selection of Trailer Colors, or contact us to see what’s available on the lot or to discuss a custom order.

11. Why are Pro-Line Trailers prices so much lower than competitors?

Pro-Line Trailers was built on the idea that it is better to sell a lot for a little profit than to sell a very few trailers for a lot of profit.

When we sell high volume, we still make money, and the customer can get more for their dollar. Customers then spread the word and more American trailer builders can stay in business, which means more American jobs. To us, this is an, “everybody wins” situation.

12. Will this trailer be enough to haul my bike/car/equipment?

Unfortunately, this question doesn’t have a one size fits all answer, but the experts at Pro-Line can make sure you get a trailer that suits your specific needs. You will need to do your homework before calling, like measure what you are hauling and find out an approximate weight of what you plan to haul. Don’t forget about the extra stuff, like tool boxes, track bike, golf carts, winches, spare tires or fuel.

Please contact us to start picking out your perfect trailer.

13. Do you offer Canadian trailer sales?

Pro-Line Trailers is authorized to conduct Canadian trailer sales, and our trailers are exportable. Contact us to speak with a sales associate for further information.

12. How does payment work?

We do a minimal credit card deposit to reserve our trailers and to order customer-requested trailers. Following the completion of all custom orders, the full balance must be paid within 21 days.

On in-stock items, those items need to be paid in full within 21 days of placing the deposit.

We only accept personal/business checks at our Virginia store.  These checks must be from Virginia as well.  All out-of-state checks must be a cashier’s check.

To avoid having to wait for cashier’s check processing, we recommend paying with cash or a wire transfer. Your paperwork will be mailed immediately, speeding up the buying process.

14. What is your returned check policy?

All returned checks are processed by the bank twice before being deemed insufficient. Returned checks are initially returned by the bank. Pro-Line will charge a $35 returned check fee for each returned check. Returned checks must be paid by cash, money order, cashier’s check, or credit card.

15. Do you accept credit cards?

Credit cards are accepted and are subject to an additional credit card fee. Pricing is based off a minimal credit card deposit and cash, cashier’s check, money order on pickup. Unless specified, all deposits are non-refundable.

16. What if I am an eBay customer?

Remember to check your eBay account information to make sure all your information is updated. We respond to the email address and the eBay name associated with the account. Please be sure that everything is up to date.  Our factory locations have different hours than our Rocky Mount, Va Store.

Also, never hesitate to call us at (540) 334-4182 and discuss your purchase before or after. Unless otherwise specified, we are going to fill your paperwork/registration out in the name and address associated with the account. Please provide a contact telephone number so that we may call you with your trailer pick-up information.
