Ford’s AI-Infused Pro Trailer Hitch Assist Takes the Guesswork from Connecting a Trailer

Ford has announced a new feature for its 2023 F-150 pickup trucks that promises to make it easier for drivers to connect a trailer to their vehicle. The new feature, Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, uses artificial intelligence to help drivers line up trucks and trailers, making the process quicker and more accurate.

Pro Trailer Hitch Assist uses cameras mounted on the truck and trailer to provide a live feed of the area behind the vehicle. The system then overlays a graphic on top of the image, showing the driver exactly where the hitch is in relation to the trailer. The driver can then use a knob on the dashboard to adjust the truck’s position, aligning the hitch with the trailer.

This technology is a game-changer for drivers who struggle with the task of connecting a trailer. With Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, there’s no more guesswork involved, and the process is faster and more efficient than ever before.

The Pro Trailer Hitch Assist feature is part of the Ford Co-Pilot360 suite of driver assistance technologies. It will be available as an option on all 2023 F-150 pickup trucks.

“We know that towing can be stressful and challenging for many drivers,” said a Ford spokesperson. “That’s why we’ve developed Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, to take the guesswork out of the process and make it easier for drivers to connect their trailer quickly and safely.”

For those in the market for a new pickup truck, this latest innovation from Ford will surely be a game-changer. With Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, connecting a trailer has never been easier or more stress-free.
