As their website states, “The Harvester Performance Center is a new, mid-sized music venue serving Rocky Mount, VA, and surrounding areas with great live performances in all kinds of genres.” With indoor seating up to 475 – 700 attendees depending on the event, this is a great place to catch your favorite act. Events are hosted almost weekly be sure and check out their website for more information.
Dr. Pepper Park
As the weather warms up outside be sure and check out the outdoor events at the Dr. Pepper Park. Their events kick off mid-April and are posted on their website here. This is one of the newest venues in Roanoke, VA. They host everything from concerts, corn hole tournaments, festivals, to one of the area’s first “MEGA ROCK-N-WED” events. Located in the heart of Boones Mill, Virginia are two of the area’s newest attractions.
Hammer & Forge Brewing Company
Their website says a lot about the atmosphere at 70 Main St, Boones Mill, Virginia, “Hammer & Forge Brewing Company exists as a celebration of the hard workers in every industry.” The best part is they are located 5 minutes north of our Virginia location. Be sure and check them out on your way to or from our store.
Franklin County Distilleries
From movies, books, to deep racing roots, Franklin County, Virginia is full of moonshine liquor tales and stories. You can read more about the Conspiracy Trial of 1935, take in even some live displays at the Blue Ridge Institute in Ferrum, Virginia, or stop just up the road and take history home. Slated to open by March of 2017, Franklin County Distilleries will open a brand new Franklin County Distilleries location just around the corner from Hammer & Forge. “Birthed and bottled in the Moonshine Capital of the World, Franklin County, Va., FCD White Label Corn Whiskey builds on the brand that bootleggers built.” This is sure to be a great stop to take in some of the local folklore and a great story to tell your friends.
